Boo Mallinson
Boo's paintings are inspired by her Dorset surroundings and the sense of being with the landscape. They bring together feelings and experiences triggered by observations of the terrain and are personal expressions of an encounter with the elemental.
She has lived in Dorset for seven years, after moving from London where she studied Fine Art at The Byam School of Art and City & Guilds School of Art. Her paintings act as a visual diary and as a way of expressing her everyday walks and journeys through the landscape. She hopes to be able to invite others to share these experiences, and the gentle abstract way in which Boo works, allows the viewer the freedom to put their own interpretation into the painting.
Boo works in a number of mediums including, oil, acrylic, charcoal, ink and pastel. Paintings vary in size from large canvases to smaller more intimate works on paper.
